Collector Tray / Chimney Tray
Riser Type Collector Tray (CTR)
Rectangular or Round shaped chimney.
The chimneys should be equipped with covers or hats to prevent liquid bypassing the collector tray
through the chimney openings. To maintain proper gas distribution, these chimneys must be
uniformly positioned.
Chevron Type Collector Tray (CCT)
Chevron Type Collector Tray is used as a separate unit to accumulate liquid from packing bed.
It is consist of evenly spaced chevron blades. Due to the streamlined design, vapor flow entering the
bottom of the bed above is highly uniform. This type of collector normally has more than 90% free
area for vapor flow so pressure drop across the device is quite small.
